Lachlan has been part of the building industry since joining CSR Ltd in 2004. Involved in CSR’s acquisition of the Pilkington businesses in Australia and NZ in 2007, Lachlan has since held roles in the marketing and strategic development of CSR’s Viridian Glass business. Throughout this time, he has been committed to lifting the adoption of higher performing glass forms in the Australian construction market, through activities such as the Sustainable Window Alliance study into the impact of glazing on home energy efficiency and comfort, contributions to various related industry bodies and associations, and input to the development and research outcomes of the CSR House – an 8-star research home constructed in Western Sydney.
Within Viridian, Lachlan has led several product launches and promotional campaigns in the energy efficient glazing area – notably “SeeBeyond Windows”, “SmartGlass”, and the forthcoming “Living Light” campaign – all targeting increased market awareness and appreciation of the importance and power of good glazing. Allied to these pursuits, Lachlan is also a regular contributor to various industry publications and the consumer press.
